  • Overview

    The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

     

    The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

     

    The intern will split time between North America Inside Sales and Supplies. The time will be evenly split between the two functional areas. 

     

    In terms of projects from North America Inside Sales, general responsibilities will include activities that support Zebra’s 2019 strategic initiatives, including targeting opportunities within Government, tablet, data capture solutions and Rockwell Automation Dealers. The intern will also be focused on the outreach and growth of our unmanaged partner community – specifically new partners that join our program.  It will be the intern’s responsibility to assist with on-boarding the new partners, determining the overall interest / opportunity for Zebra products, and assisting with managing the relationship for this partner. 

     

    In terms of projects from Supplies, the intern will be tasked with reaching out to existing supplies partners to find out why win/ why lose information. The role will be focused on quote follow-up, to understand why a supplies quote was executed on or why it was declined. The goal is to provide the team with competitive feedback to further fine- tune the supplies quoting process.

    Responsibilities

    • Handles inbound phone and e-mail activity from partners who require support; assists with inquiries related to products; directs partners to appropriate Zebra personnel for resolution; captures initial sales opportunity details and engages appropriate resources to manage moving forward.    
    • Supports Zebra compliance efforts by proactively following up with unmanaged partners to ensure compliance is being met.
    • Supports newly admitted Zebra partners by assisting with onboarding, including any required training on the partner program, tools, and products.
    • Supports special product-focused initiatives (ie, Card, Supplies, MP7000) for partners who are strong prospects based on their business model and market focus.
    • Provides proactive feedback on partner opportunities to internal sales team and sales managers
    • Continuous product and applications training.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in a discipline related to the project specifics. If an undergraduate, must be at the junior or senior level.
    • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
    • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Highly organized and strong ability to prioritize tasks
    • Attention to detail, accuracy and a sense of urgency
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
