  • Overview

    The Sales Engineering Intern will be part of the North America Product Management and Solution Strategy Team.  You will be assisting with product Beta testing, and will work with the Solutions Center and Sales Engineers to bring their developed applications to the field.The ideal candidate would exhibit advanced teaming skills, both internal and with customers/partners, have a positive attitude and demonstrate excellent decision-making abilities using sound technical and business judgment. In addition they must demonstrate critical thinking and strategic planning capabilities, as well as have the ability to work cross functionally, and have the flexibility to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Review and report on PMB announcements.
    • Assist with Product Beta testing.
    • Work on EBC demo equipment setup and assist with presentation / live demo.
    • Test and evaluate OS update, FW, ZPL, etc. on newly available SW.
    • Support Website support issues.
    • Inside Sales technical support.
    • Manage equipment requests from the field.
    • Work with Solutions Center and Sales Engineers to bring their developed applications to the field.
    • Assist in meeting the assigned area sales targets with a focus on supporting end user or partner technical sales activity.
    • Assist in technical testing and support of any product beta programs in process.
    • Assist in troubleshooting customer or partner issues in a lab or production environment.
    • Support any customer or partner technical activities as scheduled.
    • Upon completion of the 2018 intern period, he or she will provide a presentation overview on key areas of technical and business skills learned.

     

    Qualifications

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in a discipline related to the project specifics. If an undergraduate, must be at the junior or senior level.
    • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
    • Junior/Senior with a Bachelor Degree-Related Major (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, etc.) 
    • Master's Degree Preferred but not required. 
    • Take direction from the hiring manager and Sales Engineering team. 
    • The Intern may be required to take part in conference calls and/or customer meetings when necessary.
    • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills - a pleasant telephone voice/manner, clear speaking voice, good communication skills, good listening skills. 
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
