  • Overview

    The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

     

    Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs, and all interns will participate in the US Zebra Internship Program. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

    Responsibilities

     

     Intern Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

    • Rough drafting procedures for security controls and use cases to support the information security identified 16 use cases. Assistance would be expected in 3-4 use cases during the internship.
    • Refining procedures that already exist to further our security maturity.
    • Trouble Shooting gap issues to support out Senior Security Engineer/s
    • Perform some ticket work to learn 3-4 tools to support our security operations.
    • Data wrangling on vulnerability reporting side to support our Senior Security Engineer/s and help automate this process.
    • Log analysis assistance to learn 3-4 investigative methods and support our incident investigation investigation, containment and mitigation.
    • DMARC on inbound email traffic to assist our Senior Security Engineer/s to close out a gap in our DMARC project.
    • Other tasks as they arise and are curated with definitions of done.

     

    Qualifications

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in a discipline related to the project specifics. If an undergraduate, must be at the junior or senior level. 
    • The ideal intern should have taken at least 2-3 foundational security courses
    • Security+ level understanding of security principes, policies, controls, command line, and tool experience.  
    • Working knowledge of commands such as ping, netstat, tracert, ip and if config, and nmap
    • Basic understanding of the three areas of security process controls and domains including Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
