  • Overview

    The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

     

    Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs, and all interns will participate in the US Zebra Internship Program. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

     

    The Business Communications team consists of both Employee and Executive Communications responsible for all internal communications for Zebra inclusive of company intranet, emails and broad company event content. The Executive communications arm are aligned to top Zebras executives and are responsible for their All Hands events, broader event content (Sales Kick offs, Partner Summits, External Keynotes) thought leadership and overall communications strategy

    Responsibilities

    • Supporting Zebra’s executive communicators to develop and execute executive content including, memos, presentations, org charts, etc.
    • Developing executive-related stories for Zebra’s corporate intranet and managing/updating functional intranet pages
    • Supporting internal meetings by providing onsite technical support including but not limited to mic running, meeting set up, and time keeping
    • Supporting the corporate roundtable program, zChat, by coordinating the discussions and developing post-event reports
    • Assisting with relevant employee comms projects and events as needed
    • Leading a pre-identified communications project that addresses a selected, strategic need of the team – for example, last year, the intern focused on building out an approach to optimize internal meetings

    Qualifications

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in a discipline related to the project specifics. If an undergraduate, must be at the junior or senior level.
    • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a plus.

    • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
    • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
