    The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.


    Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs, and all interns will participate in the US Zebra Internship Program. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!


    The IT Server and Storage Intern will be responsible for assisting the server and storage administration, operations, and request intake processes.


    • Assisting with server and storage support in a mixed Windows / Linux environment.
    • Assisting with reviewing requests for new servers and issuing resolution with servers and storage. 
    • Assisting in configuring, monitoring, upgrading and supporting servers and storage.
    • Assisting with the administration of data protection suites, including patching and backup monitoring applications.
    • Assisting in maintaining various security systems to include patch management, antivirus, and vulnerability management systems.
    • Assisting with cataloging and organizing legacy tape backup.
    • Assisting with monitoring log management systems.


    • Junior/Senior with a Bachelor Degree-Related Major (i.e. Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
    • Must take direction well and be a motivated self-starter.
    • Open and excited to learn new technologies.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Customer service-oriented by learning techniques to best serve clients.
    • Basic Windows and/or Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
    • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, SSH, HTTP, FTP, SSL, etc.) 
    • Basic proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
    • Bonus technical skills: Windows Domain administration, Office 365 administration, Virtualization using VMWare ESXi.
