  • Overview

    The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

     

    Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs, and all interns will participate in the US Zebra Internship Program. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

     

    The Digital Marketing team creates marketing messages and online experiences that build our digital relationships with prospects, customers and partners. Our web and social experts curate the online journeys that foster digital engagement for partners and customers who have no direct contact with Zebra.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs all activities within tight deadlines to meet project goals and objectives
    • Becomes intimately familiar with all social media content
    • Analyzes and evaluates content to ensure error-free grammar, spelling and formatting
    • Upload content and assist with publishing in Oracle Social Relationship Management (SRM), GaggleAMP and Zebra Partner Go
    • Proactively generates ideas, juggles multiple assignments, pays close attention to detail and meets short turnarounds and deadlines
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in a discipline related to the project specifics (Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media/Journalism, or a related field). If an undergraduate, must be at the junior or senior level.
    • Strong writing and proofreading skills
    • Self-starter with a team player attitude, comfortable both taking initiative and working in collaboration
    • Previous social media or digital marketing internship experience is a plus.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office. SharePoint, Content Management Systems and Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
    • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
    • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship

     

    Desired Skills: 

    • Experience using social media networks and platforms highly desired
    • Experience in content writing highly desired 
    • Experience working in a fast-faced, deadline-oriented environment
    • Able to prioritize multiple activities while remaining organized
