  • Overview

    This position will implement continuous improvement activities aligned with the goals and metrics of the repairs centers and with the strategic vision of the business. The engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining lean, cost efficient and state-of-the art manufacturing processes. The right candidate must be hands- on, collaborative leader who has a positive attitude, and can adapt to handling challenging situations. We are seeking an intelligent, energetic, resourceful employee with the following experience and qualities:


    • Drives manufacturing cost reduction initiatives to meet production cost targets.
    • Identifying and eliminating waste, problem solving, and improving processes and teams.
    • Perform Time Studies on existing processes or new startup projects.
    • Monitors real production cycle times against targeted cycle times, reports results and analysis to upper level management. Resolve discrepancies if necessary.
    • Maintains production capacity plans.
    • Reports capacity utilization.
    • Provides capacity related figures whenever a customer / department requests.
    • Predicts future equipment utilization and program investments.
    • Supports product price calculations by providing real data from production.
    • Works closely with Operations, Engineering and QA to meet production goals, priorities, and coverage along with special projects.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related Engineering discipline preferred; such as Industrial engineering
    • Continuous improvement, lean manufacturing methodologies experience is a plus.
    • 3+ years of manufacturing environments / service operations preferred.
    • A minimum 3+ year record of successful large-scale business optimization projects in a manufacturing environment is required.
    • Must have effective project management skills with the ability to complete multiple projects independently.
    • Six Sigma certified; green belt, black belt or Lean preferred.
    • Strong mathematical, analytical and overall computer skills.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
    • Must be able to read and evaluate mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
    • Must be proficient in, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; AutoCAD drawing software is a plus.
    • Must be able to perform time studies/analyses.
    • Must be able to generate capacity plan.
