  • Overview

    The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

     

    Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs, and all interns will participate in the US Zebra Internship Program. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

     

    Zebra’s product software licensing team is responsible for process and solution expertise related to the development, distribution, and maintenance of end-product software licensing. This includes strong partnership with product development and order management community to meet their current and future business strategies. In addition, the team provides technical and functional leadership in working through issues with other business teams to ensure the best overall customer experience in working with Zebra.

    Responsibilities

    • Work on the Software License Management team that provides the overall process, data, and system management for licensing of our Zebra products and grow your skills in the development of the license integrations of our products with our license management solution.
    • Support the Zebra Software Licensing team in the following activities:
      • Expansion and enhancement of specific web services for software licensing applications.
      • Integration of software licensing utilities and API's to existing customer support and repair portals. 
      • Bot Development for data analytics driving business intelligence dashboards and reports.
      • System documentation including architectural diagrams, process and data flowcharts, licensing, and road-maps.
      • Analysis of business requirements, design, and development of enhancements or fixes in an Agile developing environment. 
      • Interfacing with IT and Business users for requirements gathering, design specification, testing, and communications
    • Gain exposure to the full software development life-cycle and obtain real world product experience.
    • Work with leading-edge technology to meet the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution to help our customers – both internal and external – capture their edge.

    Qualifications

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology degree program in a discipline related to the project specifics. If an undergraduate, must be at the rising junior or rising senior /graduated senior level
    • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
    • Experience with Android, Apple iOS, and/or Windows Mobile Software application development and licensing desired.
    • Experience in web development using Java, HTML, CSS, and web services.
    • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
    • Must reside within 50 miles of the primary work location
