    The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge. Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs, and all interns will participate in the US Zebra Internship Program. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

     

    This position will be supporting the product test execution team for the Enterprise Visibility and Mobility division of Zebra Technologies based in Holtsville, NY. We test Windows and Android devices concentrating but not limited to WLAN, Bluetooth, Indoor Locationing, WWAN, and GPS technologies.  Candidate would be responsible for the development of automated test scripts that validates the functionality and performance of the mobile devices. 

    Responsibilities

    Candidate will assist in the creation of automated test scripts which are executed across the Zebra mobile devices.  The automated test scripts will validate the functionality of the mobile device which includes but not limited to WLAN, Bluetooth, and WWAN.  Candidate will also assist in developing Android based test applications.  Responsibilities to include the following:

     

    • Design and develop machine learning algorithms
    • Discover, design, and develop analytical methods to support novel approaches of data and information processing
    • Design and develop novel algorithms
    • Design and implement automated test scripts that are executed by overall CI/ATS framework
    • Review of test scripts through Source Code Control system.
    • Develop planning, organizational and time management skills
    • Increase technology knowledge and skills

    • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with employees
    • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities

    Qualifications

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Computer Engineering. If an undergraduate, must be at rising senior/graduated senior level 
    • Familiarity with Python and C++
    • Familiarity with ML Algorithms TensorFlow, Scikit-learn
    • Experience working with or using Windows and Linux
    • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
    • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
    • Must reside within 50 miles from the primary work location
